Josie Bender

Role

Josie is often the first connection between our team and the companies we serve. She builds relationships, asks thoughtful questions, and uncovers where real value can be created. With energy, curiosity, and a results-driven mindset, she opens doors that turn into lasting partnerships.

Career

Josie’s career began in the fast-paced restaurant industry, where she started as a dishwasher in middle school and worked her way up to a waitress through high school. Those early experiences shaped her strong work ethic, resilience, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

Her passion for business and teamwork solidified during a summer internship with KI on the inside sales team. Immersed in a collaborative, goal-driven environment, she discovered her enthusiasm for sales and relationship-building. The experience proved to be such a strong fit that she continued working remotely with the team during her final semester of college.

Josie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, where she was honored with the Chancellor’s Leadership Award in recognition of her commitment to leadership and involvement. Today, she brings the same drive, teamwork, and people-first mindset to her role, combining grit, curiosity, and a passion for growth to help build meaningful business relationships.

Fuel

Building genuine connections is what fuels Josie’s passion and purpose. She thrives on working alongside others, learning their stories, and sharing her own. For her, business is never just about transactions, it’s about relationships, trust, and the people behind the work. She’s energized by collaboration, meaningful conversations, and being part of a team that grows together. Creating authentic connections and helping others feel seen, heard, and valued is what drives her every day.

Fun Fact

Outside of work, Josie has spent most of her life on the ice. She played hockey from a young age through her collegiate career at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. A dedicated defenseman for years, she built her game around discipline, awareness, and protecting her team, before making the transition to forward at the college level.

Whether she’s recounting a childhood memory, a lesson learned on the ice, or a meaningful life moment, she has a way of drawing people in and making them feel like they’re part of the story. Her animated energy, expressive delivery, and genuine emotion turn everyday experiences into memorable narratives, creating connection, laughter, and a sense of shared experience wherever she goes.

From carefully planned days to detailed follow-ups and well-kept systems, she creates clarity in the middle of busy schedules and moving pieces. By staying organized and committed to her routines, she’s able to show up fully, stay on top of her game, and bring steady momentum to everything she takes on.
